The Perfect Season is a free NFL roster-building game you play in the browser, with nothing to download and no account required. A wheel hands you a year, then a team from that year, and you sign one player off it. Six spins fill six spots, and every signing comes out of a $140M salary cap. Then you play all 17 games and, if you win enough of them, a playoff run that ends the moment you lose once.

Every player is priced and scored from his real week-by-week statistics for the exact season you drafted him from, not from his career reputation. That's the whole skill of the game: knowing which seasons were monsters. A legend in a down year is an overpriced name, and a journeyman in his one outlier season is often the best value on the board.

How a run works

• Six spins, six signings, $140M. Money left unspent is production you never fielded.
• Don't like the draw? Re-spin the year or the team for $5M, then $10M, then $15M. It comes off the same budget that signs your players.
• Players who shared a team, a college or a draft class build chemistry, which lifts the whole roster. Two linked mid-priced players often beat one isolated superstar at the same price.
• Shape matters as much as talent. A quarterback with nobody to throw to loses games a balanced roster wins.
• Win 12 of 17 and you're in the playoffs. Win 16 and you skip a round. One playoff loss ends the run.

One Franchise mode

The same game with the team wheel locked to a single franchise, so only the year moves and every player you sign actually wore that jersey. It turns the draft into a history exam about one club: which eras were loaded, which years to re-spin away from, which cheap seasons hide chemistry partners for your stars. Each franchise keeps its own leaderboard, so deep fans of one team have a real edge. It needs a free RunThe.GG account.
